Welcome to my online home, a database of journeys and musings.
My name is Sinyeet De’e’elo. I’m a sawish of the north, half-breed of the Koyukon Athbascan and Hungarian immigrants. It sounds exotic, but don’t let that fool you. I’m a regular guy, someone you would pass at the grocery store buying bread or sitting next to you in the movie theater eating popcorn. I spent years chasing a finance career, working to an MBA and spending my life in a little cube where I was the only one the janitor saw at nights.
Then one afternoon, I left the house with a cheap little camera and discovered a deep love for photography. Landscape photography is my therapy now where I find solace away from the feverish world of deadlines and projects.

Along the way I write about what I see and how I feel. Writing adds flavor beyond what pictures alone offer, telling a narrative with elements of the human condition. Loneliness, anger, contentment, and other emotions are all experienced in the reflective experience of being in the field alone.
Website Purpose
I don’t want to sell you anything. We live in a world run rampant with hyper-consumerism where we’re continually being sold something. Mix that with social media where we're constantly comparing ourselves to others and worry about how many likes we'll get, etc. Collectively we need to take a step back from all that.
All I want to do want is to share this world with you. Each of us belongs to this world, and it is my desire that sharing pieces of it with you might influence you to explore it and be kind to it. All efforts to build an inheritance for the next generation are invalidated if we ruin the land, and there is so much heaven on this earth.
